Qld birth /marriage lookup - Russell family

if  you  get  the  marriage certificate  there is an  awfull  lot  of  info  on  it

where  the bridge and  groom  came from  etc


worth  the  money  if  you  cannot get  back  any further

I see there has been some progress. I was wanted to let you know that I won't be able to get to the Archives till next week now. Busy time with the end of the school holidays and lots to organize. I'll have plenty of time next week when the little darlings are back at school, so I will go then.

I went to the archives today but sorry, no luck finding your family in the immigration indexes, either in the books or cards. I couldn't find any Lottre immigrations either.

Hi all

I know its a while since this thread stopped, but wanted to update you.  The marriage certificate revealed William's father, another William, and from there I found his father, Jacob Russell Jnr and his father, Jacob Russell per Salamander, and mother Eleanor Davis per Mary Ann.

Also Judith Bidwell and William Evans per Surprize whose daughter Sarah married Jacob Russell Jnr. 

So that family started off in Sydney, to Qld then WA and back to NSW when my mother-in-law came east and married in Sydney.
