as you seem to have Daniel's birth certificate, could you post the details of his parents as that would help in the search?
 I seem to remember searching for this family before and the one Brian has found looks a good match. They are in Sirhowy in 1881 RG11/5244 folio 95 pg 11 with Daniel enumerated as Thomas D Harris although birth registered as Daniel Thomas Harris march qtr 1875 Bedwelty vol 11a pg 109.
In 1901 the Ancestry transcribers have hidden them under the name of Hanes
RG13/5003 folio 144 pg 36 at 11 Clydach Tce, Ynysybwl with John and his family living at no 10.
Benjamin is living with older brother William in Pontygwaith RG13/5001 folio 65 pg 11.
But Daniel and Mary are still elusive.

Why don't you order the birth certificate for Thomas Daniel Harris march qtr 1901 Pontypridd vol 11a pg 568 ? You could put a check on the mother's name when ordering. That birth is so close to the census, it's quite likely the family are at the same address and that would give you something to go on.
