Piper family gone missing
« on: Wednesday 24 January 07 22:03 GMT (UK) »
On 1841 census in Tipnook, Henfield (Henfield Common)
HO107/1098/9 Folio 13 Page 18.

I have the Piper family:

William Piper, 1806, Farrer
Sarah Piper, 1801,
Isaac Piper, 1830
Kezia Piper 1833
Amos Piper, 1835
Emma Piper 1838
Robert Smith 1771

All born in county.
After this the family doesn't seem to appear in any census.  There is a Kezia Piper marrying Thomas Payne Leggatt in 1854 in Steyning district (so probably Henfield), but even they're not on subsequent censuses.
Any thoughts on what's happened to them, or ways to trace them much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Valda,

That's brilliant. Thank you.

No wonder I couldn'tfind Kezia. Looks like they were living under her husband's middle name (probably his father's surname.)

Thansk for clearing up what had happened to Amosd 7 Isaac too,

Cheers,
Mark
