Obviously if I want all the news, all the interesting details I need to pick a better quality paper, who knows what interesting tidbits I may be missing  ;D

It does seem odd though since Marton doesn't sound like such a rare name. Still I don't know much about Yorks. surnames.

I just want to make it clear that I am not a Sun reader usually  ;D I happened to be having a coffee in McDonalds the other morning (am at a loose end, on my days off work, now my daughter has just started Nursery), and all the decent papers were being hogged by the "suits" thats sit there all morning supposedly doing business!!  ;D ;D

That article caught my eye though, and I'd been looking on rootschat to see if anyone was researching that name. It didn't mention the village name where they're all from though  :-\ The article also said approx. 1/3 of the people with this surname had the African gene.....

Catherine  ;D
ps. Marton's a place in Yorkshire, so maybe they got confused with the name and place, who knows!!   :-\
