Hi Peter. I have checked ancestry 1901 the first on the list for a Jim Brindley is aged 9
reads as follows
John M or H Brindley a Silk dresser aged 41 born Congleton
Emily wife                                       "      40    "           "
Harriet   daughter         silk winder aged   15    "         "
Henry     son                                   "       11    "        "
Jim         son                                             9    "        "
The address looks like 10 Queen St Congleton.
Could these be the ones?
regards
tisgrannie

SDGW is 'soldiers died in the great war' a post war publication now available in a seachable CD

it's not available on line, although i think one of the geneology sites will sell you credits to look at entries

if you have any queries, post them on the armed forces board, there are a few of us with copies

good luck

Hi

 Tisgrannie
Yes that is the Jim I think may be the one mentioned as James in the Congleton War Memorial.
