This handbook was published in 1903 and has many advertisements for local businesses most with photographs.  There is also quite a bit of information about the communities mentioned especially Abergavenny.

Many thanks for posting the link and reviving happy memories of Abergavenny. It doesn`t seem to have changed much,lots of the Hotels and pubs still around.
