Margie,

This is great.

Fiona, you can go to Family Search and find a living relative to write to. How wonderful.

Fiona,  If you go to the first page of this board, there is a section called US Resources.  Within that is a link provided by Ohio Susan to death certificates that are online from Utah.  Your Frank Valentine Goodman is there.  With luck, you'll be able to get some of the other members of the family.----Genealiza

Fiona, I just had another look and the death certificates of Frank, Elizabeth, Joseph, Roger and Alfred are all there.  If you find the names of the girls husbands, they are probably there, also.

Wonderful. This should be great for you.

I had found Madge in the census, married to the Evans, but hadn't had time to get it all to you. If you want, I can send you the info. It is always wonderful to find married daughters. I just found a married sister of my great-grandmother by total luck and trolling last week. I followed two possibilities through the 1910 and 1920 census and then found her father living with her in the 1930 census. Bingo. What a feeling.

Hi Kath
I would like the census information for Madge if that is possible. You have helped me so much

I've got it here. It isn't very clear, but I will do my best transcribing:

Clarence Evans, Rents, 29, can read and write, born Utah, father born Wales, mother Utah, farmer on a stock farm, a worker.

Madge, wife, 23, can read and write, born Colorado, father born England, mother Arizona (boy, they put mom all over the place).

Kids are Sarah I, 7, Eva A, 5, Owen F, 3 4/12, Thelma L, 1 1/12. They were all born in Utah. Let me see what I find in the 1930.

She married very young.

I have Madge in the 1930 census in San Bernadino, California, divorced. She owns her home and it is worth $2200. Mom is born Utah here. She is a waitress.

She has kids Ivan L, 16, Eva A 15, Owen F, 13, and Thelma L, 12 living with her. I must have missed Ivan in the 1920. Let me go back and take a look for him. I wonder if Sarah stayed with dad, or if she got married already. I'll have a look around for her too.

I didn't find Ivan in the 1920 census (odd) and I didn't find Sarah in the 1930, so I assume she is married. I also didn't find Clarence in the 1930. Let me know if there is anything else.

Fiona,  On the website, www.usgenweb.com, click on Utah.  They have various information at the county and state level.  Frank is listed as a pioneer in Unitah Co.  Maybe he is mentioned elsewhere, as well.---Genealiza
