Henry Morris was baptised 2 Jan 1814 in Burwash, parents James and Mary Morris.

There are two by the name of Mary Wood baptised in Warbleton in 1823/4:

Mary Jane Wood baptised 28 Dec 1823 parents James & Caroline Wood.
Mary Wood baptised 2 May 1824, parents William & Mary Wood.

Can't check the marriages at the moment - PC having a weird moment.   :-\

OK - got it sorted.

James Morris married Mary Huntly 23 Nov 1803 in Mayfield, both otp.

James Wood, bachelor of Herstmonceux married Caroline Brett, spinster of Warbleton 7 Nov 1823 in Warbleton.

William Wood - more difficult.  Nothing in Warbleton or nearby  ???

I found these:

William Wood married Mary Message 4 Apr 1825 in Herstmonceux
William Wood married Mary Short 8 Nov 1823 Steyning West Sussex

There is another in Slindon West Sussex, but that seems a long way away.  :-\

Since you have the exact marriage date, do you have the certificate which would give the fathers' names.  That might help.

Hello Nell,

The information that you uncovered is great.  I do not have the marriage certificate but got the information from Family Search.  I will have to find the index details of the marriage so that I can get the certificate.  In the meantime can you tell me what sources you used to uncover the information that you found - that would be extremely helpful.

Many thanks
