Clay cROSS School
« on: Sunday 28 January 07 13:34 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have any photos of children in Clay Cross school in late 1930's. My Mums family (Worthington) was large and they must all have attended at some point. She was born in 1938 and left at 14 to work in mill (in Belper I think) I know she said she walked about 6 miles. Looking for any information on Worthingtons. They lived in Queen Street ( where I was accidentally born) and later moved to the "Angel".

Hi Liz and welcome to RC :D

Have you tried Googling, "clay cross school" + "derbyshire" + 1930 + photo

Also, have a look at the surname interest board, it's worth a shot

Good luck
