Emigrants to Chile
« on: Monday 29 January 07 16:52 GMT (UK) »
My paternal grandfather went to work as a surgeon in Chile in the late 1800s, where he married a British Subject and had a family. Does anyone know how I can get copies of his wife's birth certificate and their marriage certificate, please?

You need to look in the indexes of BMDs overseas:

I think some of the pay-per-view sites have these indexes; although you can also just send away to the GRO and ask if they have the marriage certificate/ her birth, giving approximate dates.
