1871 census st pancras-hall family
« on: Sunday 21 November 04 15:45 GMT (UK) »
can anyone please lookup the 1871 census for st pancras for a james hall who was born in 1865/66?  it would show him as age 4,5 or 6.  the only other info I have is that his father was called thomas?
many thanks
linda :)

I have been looking at old requests, and I cannot see any young James Hall, who have either an absent father or one named Thomas.

Sorry.

1881:

35 N Street, Chelsea (N.East)

Thomas Hall, Head, 46, Carman Milkseller, Cork Ireland
Thomas Hall, Son, 15, Middlesex Willesden
James Hall, Son, 13, Middlesex Willesden

RG11/88 Pg22

This would tie in with the James Hall on the 1891 census (albeit his age is two years different, but then that's not uncommon) being from Willesden.

Bear with me...

1871:

10 Saunders? Row, Kensington

Thomas Hall, Head, 32, Carman, Ireland County Cork
Mary Hall, Wife, 38, Ireland Limerick
Mary Hall, Daughter, 16, Clerkenwell Middlesex

James Hall, Son, 3, Kensal Green Middlesex

RG10/48 Pg53

Hope this is them...looks likely.

maybe this is the one. I will have to see if I can find details of james birth certificate anywhere. Maybe I have been looking in the wrong place by looking under st pancras and not willesden
thanks for your help.  If you come up with anymore details that might be of help then let me know
