June Tabor sings a song "The making of Tipperary", which is a very long and gloomy number which mentions several of the people in the procession, but not down to the level of ordinary folk. I am sure you would be able to Google to find the lyrics somewhere if you are interested.

As Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, Marquess of Salisbury, was Prime Minister at the time, I would have thought that there would be photos somewhere ~ maybe in government records, perhaps??

I found this and wondered if it might have been one of the daughters, rather than the wife, who became pregnant, perhaps. But wouldn't someone have found out??? ???

'In 1857, Cecil married Georgina Alderson, a woman of lower social standing, over the objections of his father. The marriage proved a happy one and bore him five sons and two daughters. '
