Part of our collection includes the surviving personnel records of past employees from the 1880s to when a pension payment ceased in the late 1990s, early 2000s. We hold over c. 20,000 individual employee files, accounting for c. 80% of all employee files from this period. These personnel files do not contain employee photographs.

well this has been absorbing, following up on Junes Query re: "1950 memories" i looked up a few more food history sites. the following are especially good,lots of old photos, some named people who worked at the factories etc

History of Quaker Oats- i didnt know quaker were first to put "premiums" in the cereal boxes and recipes on the boxes.
