visitations
« on: Wednesday 31 January 07 15:43 GMT (UK) »
On the 1580 and 1613 visitations, what do these dates mean?

- when a date follows a name.
- when a name is followed by "an'o" and then a date.
- when a name is followed by "in heir" and then a date.
- when a name is followed by "vixit" and then a date.

thanks,

Chesters.

Hi Chesters,
Have you tried to google them or wikipedia.
i found "annos vixit. 'lived (so many) years'; was aged" in google.

What I would like to ask is...  Is there a Kenneth William Hodgkinson, b.1930 ish in your tree?

Happy Hunting
Regards
Juju

Hi Juju,

sorry, I don't have a Kenneth William in my tree.
