Boyd is not online unfortunately, but it is literally an index - a year, two names and a parish. You don't get any more detail, and need to check the parish register for the rest of the entry.
The March marriage:

FreeBMD shows a marriage of Elizabeth Goodson in Wisbech in the Dec quarter 1840 where one of the other parties on the page was Michael Dale. Her age fits with her being the Elizabeth baptised in 1814, although in censuses she gives her birthplace as Wisbech St Mary
Looking at the map, Guyhirn is only 2 miles from March.
I am pretty convinced and now think you do have the right marriage after all! After having 3 children in March, one or more of whom were baptised late, in 1814/15 they moved a couple of miles down the road to Guyhirn where they produced more children starting in 1815.
March parish register has many Goodsons, which I'm happy to look up if you need more information - but I cannot see a James Goodson born around 1787. There's a Thomas son of William and Elizabeth baptised 24 Sept 1786, who might be the witness.
Fortunately his later in life second marriage should provide you with his father's name if you buy the certificate from the GRO.
Regards
David
PS I can't find the Pearsons in 1861. Did they emigrate?
