1851 Census Dorset David Spencer
« on: Sunday 21 November 04 16:11 GMT (UK) »
David Spencer (gg grandfather) may have been born in Dorset around 1830+.  Immigrated to Newfoundland (not certain when).

Known:  He married Elizabeth Robert (not certain if that was in England or Canada).  Their son Abraham (g grandfather) was born in 1863 in Brigus Newfoundland.

My Aunt remembers hearing that he was born in Dorset.

I found a David born in Northamptonshire in 1836 but he does not take the right direction to be a match.  He marries Catherine Marlow and stays in England.

I've had no luck as yet tracing him from Canada...and have searched Ancestry.com with no matches in Dorset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks bunches!

Hi Scubie,

No trace of him on the Vital Records Index. I do not have the census but you may like to try the Dorset OPC. http://www.dorset-opc.com/

Kind Regards, Frances
