Hello AmandaJ

"Hi I wondered if someone could look the following up for me.
I am looking for the entire household of the following.
George Rollings age 40 bPortsmouth occ something do to with the Navy
wife Deliah Rollings age36 b Western Bay Newfoundland
in the 1901 census they lived 35 Langford Road Portsmouth
I require as already said all the members of the household in the 1891 census."

Have just checked the 1891 on line for the whole of Britain and:
There are 51 people called George Rollings, but only one of them is aged 40 – but he is Head of a family of 10 in Herefordshire.
All of the others are to old or to young to be your George or are sons at home or head of household – so no joy there

So put Deliah's details in, there was only 1 as follows:

RG12/ 858/ Folio 99/ Page 10 – 31 Moorland Road, Portsea, Hampshire

ROLLINGS Deliah, Head, Marr, 36, born Conseption Bay, Newfoundland
Harry F, Son, Unm, 7, born Portsmouth, Hampshire
                Adela F M, Dau, Unm, 5, Portsmouth
George R, Son, 4, Unm, Portsmouth

So, where is George - Deliah has no occupation, so must have an income from somewhere - possibly he is in the Royal Navy - to be perfectly honest, I dont know whether the 1891 'on line' includes Military Personel

Thanks for the information.

I guess George was at sea.

I suppose it also tells me that my great grandmother was still in Newfoundland at this time.

Thanks again. It has given me details of her family, which I did not know.
