found the Bezants in 1851 and this time, it definitely says Bezant on the census.

John Bezant head mar 48 paten maker b. Wiltshire, Chippenham
Sarah wife 56 b. Monmouthshire, Abbey
not sure about Abbey, that's certainly what it looks like, possibly Tintern Abbey.
They were still there in 1861 RG9/3976 folio 35 pg 27, John being a turner and patten maker. Sarah's pob still Abbey. Transcribed as Berant again despite an obvious tail on the 'z'.
Still can't find them in parish records so marriage possibly before 1813.
