Bryn Sguboriau, Llanelidan
« on: Monday 05 February 07 11:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I was hoping someone might have come across this house in Llanelidan?

I've done a quick google and searched the map on http://www.old-maps.co.uk/ but can't find anything.

Bryn Sguboriau was noted at the birthplace of my great-grandmother in 1886. Her mother was working as a Farmers Servanr according to the certificate so she may have been living and working there.

Thanks,
Tan.

Hi Tan,

Try searching Old Maps for Bryn Ysguboriau. I think, as usual, the word Ysguboriau has been abbreviated by the way it has been pronounced. It sounds like Sguboriau.

I think you'll find the house then.

Good luck.

Thanks, I was aware of it but still can't find it.

Nevermind, I may just drive up there and ask the locals!

Hello Tan

If you go on --- ukvillages.co.uk --- type Llanelidan then click on the map,
you can search around. The farm is about 3 miles to the south.

Good luck, Bob
