John ( Jack ) Avery born 1889 Liverpool
Edith Avery  wife
Eric Avery  son
Lillian ( Lilly ) Avery daughter

Think the family emigrated to New Zealand 1926 and then to Australia.

That's it ..... that's all the info I have ........... I'd appreciate help !

Sorry I have no idea !    a "new" cousin sent me this today ..... I've been looking for John for some time !!

I really don't know where she got the information ...... I thought I would see if I could get anything to give me a clue ! 

She did also say that Eric flew planes .... I have no idea if that was during the war or what !

That's IT .... that all the info I have to work with !!

Wonder if there is any passenger lists that may be available ??

Yes Annie,
I think you will be able to get details, but I am not sure that you can get a FREE digitised record when the item is stated 'Not Yet Examined'
Go to

 http://www.naa.gov.au

and enter his name in record search.
Click on the blue record number.
this leads to a purchase option.

I would advise that you may not need to rush into this immediately as other records of him may come to light through bmd's etc. and save you the expense.

Other Chatters will be better informed on the record availability than me.

Hey Annie!

There are 2 records for the same 1920 born man of interest  in the NAA - one is "Not Yet Examined" but the other one, at the top is "Open" - follow the tabs and it leads to where you request a digitised copy to be put up onlineThey will tell you roughly how long the wait is by indicating how far along they are with uploads of requested data,  and they won't tell you when they do it either - you just have to keep checking back! You will know it's done when it has the  logo loaded to the right of the record.

Currently it says that as at 31/1/2007, they have processed requests made before 31 December 2006.

As for the one not yet examined, you can request they do examine it:

But read up on the rules first for that...

Riley found this on the NZ board ! ..... what do you think ? is it the same guy ? .... Riley said he would take a look if it looks probable .... but it's the "student " thing thats throwing me !!
