Hi ricoba,

Unfortunately Ontario birth records have a privacy restriction and so are currently only available to 1908.  So we can't check for children  :( .  Marriage records are public up to 1922, and I have searched for a remarriage but don't see anything likely. Likewise she does not appear in the death records, which are public to 1932.

However, this looks like the death of her mother:

#096203-21 (York Co.)
Susan Hobbs
Place of Death: 57 Russett Ave
Date of Death: 14 Oct 1921
Married
Age 70
born England
Name of Father: [blank] Lawrence
Name of mother: [blank]
Name of informant: H. J. Hobbs, 57 Russett Ave, Son
Place of Burial: Prospect (that is, Prospect Cemetery, Toronto)
Date of Burial: 17 Oct 1921
Undertaker: Bales and Dobbs, 931 Queen St. W.
Cause of death: Nephritis
Physician: A. L. Murphy, 712 Dovercourt(?) Road

I don't see an obvious entry for her father's death...

Perhaps a look-up in the Toronto directories of the time would help?  I do not have access, so can't help you there.

You might find a later mention of her death or remarriage in the Toronto Star (major daily paper) www.pagesofthepast.ca

Hope this helps,

MJP
