Wesleyan marriage help
« on: Tuesday 06 February 07 17:17 GMT (UK) »
Hello all,
I am still trying to find marriage details of my ggrandparents Evan Price and Sarah Ann Roberts, but so far I am just going round in circles. There is no actual evidence, by searching through all marriage indexes that they did indeed marry, I am just going by their first child's birth certificate stating mother was a Roberts prior to marriage. The only thing I can now think of, as her father was a Wesleyan Lay Minister, was that he might have married them, and it wasn't registered. Could this have been possible? Their first child was born in 1895 Ruthin. Her family also feature in Liverpool quite often, so they could have gone there to marry, but again they are not in the indexes, and I've checked from 1891-1910, Evan died in 1919 and again Sarah Anne was classed as his widow on his death cert. Is there a register for Methodist Chapels that I might be able to get some information at all?
Kind Regards
Nerys
