Brennan Family
« on: Tuesday 06 February 07 20:03 GMT (UK) »
My Brennan family was from Carrigeens, Kilmeane, Athlone, Roscommon.  Luke was the father of my Ellen Brennan.  Ellen Brennan marries Thomas Murtagh 1889.  I can't find them in a census in 1901 because Thomas is a constable.  I was hoping that there is someone out there that are connected to this family.  When Ellen delivered my Grandfather, Bea Brennan was present.  I'm not sure that was her mother or sister.  She did have a sister, Bea who married Hugh Coyle.  If anyone has a connection to this family please contact me.
Thank you,
Mary

By any chance can you link you Brennan to the surname Egan or Mulvey?

I have Thomas Brennan born in the 1880's, little known his father is thought to also have been named Thomas.

Not known where Tom originated but known to have connections with Roscommon area.

Tom was a travelling variety artist and concert proprietor

When Brennan siblings left for America 1927/9 they sailed with couisn Julia Egan and John and Thomas Mulvey.
Julia came from Ballinasloe and the Mulvey's Cloniliff Athlone.
