I have a copy of Decoration was earned on it is my grandfather  he was a sergeant in the royal fusiliers  he was a POWdate of disembarkation26/8/1914
also it reads Clash/2/2152IV 3491 C.8.6.20 can any one help on this..

The 4th Battalion RF landed at Havre 13/8/1914, as for 'Clash' it may say 'Clasp' for the 1914 Star (The Mons Star) 8/6/1920 was the date of issue to him for the Clasp. The clasp has the dates on of '5th Aug:22nd Nov:' both dates are for 1914
