Deportation from US to UK during WWII
« on: Wednesday 07 February 07 18:57 GMT (UK) »
I had an uncle James Fogarty who was born in Liverpool about 1911 and emigrated to the US in the 1920s. As far as I know he never acquired US citizenship. Family lore has it that he was deported from the US, probably during World War II or maybe just before. I assume he was sent back to England, but have no proof of that.

Does anyone know of any public records regarding deportation during this period that might be of use to me? Thanks.

Liverpool: Fogarty & Patterson, 1906.
