I think it has all been said above; unfortunately there is no easy way to do this - just plain old knowledge of your graphics prog' and maybe a little prompting from here.
If you really find it hard going then I would suggest that you go for the hard edged cutouts, they are by far the easiest.

Hello Carol,

I've used a program called easy collage, found at http://easycollage.com/

It does cost (about £20) but there is a trial version to have a play with first.

LOL yes he worked for the Burma Railways as a Mail Driver - His first child was born about 1925 (if not a bit earlier as I am unsure of the exact date his first wife died - she had 4 with him) and the last child was born in 1954 when he was 61 years old

He had about 58 Grandchildren from them - and some never married

Why Denn?

I got PP11 installed and did a few of the photos as it tells me to. Then Mark mentioned this programme and I thought I would give it a try. Easy to use but no good for cutting round photos

Did the Home version as I only have 512 so didn't want to risk overloading my PC

It is fantastic and well worth downloading.

I have managed to get six done for each of the families for my booklet and it looks really good.
