From the 1876 Harts Annual Army List

Under the heading :- Lt Colonels who have retired by sale of their commisions;

Colonel Richard Roney Dougal - Depot Battalion -26th October 1865

Lt. Colonel Roney-Dougal served as Major in the 1st Jager Corps, British German Legion, from it's formation, accompanied it to the East, and was eventually appointed to the command of the corps.
