I will have a look too. Various parts of the 1861 census are missing of course.
Maybe we can trace him in 1851 or 1841.

Hi Barbara

I had a look on 1841 using 2 different sets of indexes and couldn't find him. I sort of assumed he's still be in Deptford and the National Archives don't say there's missing bits for there, so perhaps he'd already moved into London at that stage....

Good to have another set of eyes  ;D
