I am going to summarise evrything we have and then have another look - perhaps a summary will entice some other rootschatters to join in the fun  ;D

Whilst reviewing all the info we have so far I went back to check the 1861 and 1851 censuses.
Nothing useful in 1861 but I found this in 1851

2 Benbow Road, St Luke
Dan'l Mcmarama Head Mar 21 Blacksmith b Bath
Sarah Ann Mcmarama Wife Mar 20 b St Lukes Goswell St
John Absolom Mcmarama Son 11 months b St Lukes Goswell St

Ref is HO107 1522 f 289

Think we may be getting somewhere at last!

This looks like Daniel in 1841.  Age is a bit out but father is a Blacksmith and Daniel was not born in county!

Gullet? Birmingham
Matthew McNamara 35 Blacksmith b Ireland
Margaret 35 Cap Maker b Ireland
Daniel 15 Iron Filer not born in county
Martha 5 b in county
John 1 b in county

HO 107 1143/3 f 19

Now back to the 1861.
