The ships are HMS Leander and Benbow, HMS Vivid 11 was a Naval Shore establishment at Devonport.

The List would possibly be for whatever Branch of the Navy he was in and the Number would be his Ships number. If you look at the Vivid ones they are in the thousands which would be right for a Barracks. Depending on how many were there at the time.
