Just seen your posting Darksecretz!  :-\
Which one are you referring too?  ???
The first one was as per my instructions  :)
The second was similar, but with "new image" set at widest width rather than the combined.  The medals were put in first, and the card on top but with a much lower opacity (which was adjusted in the Layers dropdown box)
The levels / contrast / saturation were then adjusted for each layer to get desired result, using the   > Layers > New Ajustment Layers  dropdowns
nb When selecting the layer you want to adjust (ie medals or card) make sure you tick the "Group with previous layer" button, otherwise the adjustments will be made to both layers  ;)
As far as I am concerned, much of this is developed by trial and error.
It helps to save at at points that you are happy with. then if you experiment from that point and it doesn't work out, just close the window without saving (when asked) and return to the last point you were happy with and continue experimenting.  8) 8) 8)
Hope that helps.  ??? ???
Mudge  :) :) :)

Just a thought if the medal card is despeckled first then laid on top of the medals the resulting image would be clearer.
Cheers
