I would put the date at circa 1880. I see that OR has given you a wider time frame. It just said early 1880s to me when I looked at it

Hi Gadget

Do you remember doing the Moar family search for me in Leith?  Well this picture is part of his family!!! It is a shame there are no names written on the back.  My uncle in law had the photos but he isnt sure who they are either....

Hi Jan  :)

I've just been refreshing my memory - was it only 3 weeks ago  :o :o :o

Doesn't time fly - do any of the people we found fit with this man?

Isnt it scary it was only 3 weeks ago,  I think it is Samuel Moar, his son was Robert Moar born in Leith - u sent me a pm and spent 1.40 on me...lol..

Samuel Moar was a letter carrier in Edinburgh... because of the dates I can only think it is him, Robert wasnt born til 1881 so it cannot be him, so it must be his dad.

There is another photo on this site of a couple, I think that might be Samuels wife Mary Flint.. but who the elderly man is anyone guess???

It is all down to your help, I wouldnt of got half as much info as i have without your help...and i was over the moon to get photos, my uncle in law had forgotten he had them, I am so glad he had.
