Francis/west family help

Hi   Is anyone researching the West family or the Francis family of Newport.
I am researching for a friend (glutton for punishment comes to mind, mmm or pleasure ).

I have a Mary Ann FRANCIS b 1885 M Edwin C WEST in 1913
he was b 1885, both in Newport M.

As an "Englander" getting in a muddle with counties in Wales, obviously not good on geography either.   Looking for their parents or anyone else researching these names that might be able to help me.

Thanks The 1891/1901 census for Francis family looks good, I am going to have to ask my friend some more questions.

Not sure about the Wright family tho.

As Edwin WEST seems a bit elusive.
