Coates - Pritchard marriage

My Ggrandfather, John Coates, married a second time after 1909 when his first wife, Sarah Ann [Peacock] died in Fazakerley in Liverpool.
I am told that the second wife was married before and had a son. All I know of her is her surname, Pritchard [or Prichard].
Can anyone tell me how do I go about finding this lady? I have tried BMD on microfiche, but no luch so far.

Can you provide some more information?  Presumably you know they lived in North Yorkshire at some time - hence your posting on this board.

Any clues you can give will help us to narrow it down.
