 I hope you may be able to help, I am looking for the birth of William Povah born abt 1836 in Scotland, his parents lived in Liverpool. His mother was Jane Povah nee Graham born abt 1806 Cummertrees, Dumfries, Scotland, and I think she may have gone home to have her first child. Father was John Povah.

On the Liverpool census for 1851 it has Jane and William born Scotland.
I lost William after 1851 I can not find him in England or Liverpool Death's .
Did he move to Scotland ??
If any one can help I would be very greatfull.

I've found Jane Graham's  baptism Parents - - William Graham and Mary Thompson
bpt. Cummertrees, 5 October 1806.

No sign of William's birth or baptism in Dumfriesshire though or on the 1851* in Scotland

Have you seen this  death registration for a William Povah, West Derby, Lancs  March Quarter,  1865, vol 8b, page 447

No age and it wouldn't explain him being missing in the 1861 but a maybe

Also:

December q, 1857, Chorlton, Vol 8c page 384 (very faint)

No deaths in Scotland

         Yes I did see that death but like you some how I dont think its him, I bet he is on the census but they spelt Povah wrong.
