Hello

Need some help tracing parents of Fredrick Douglas McGregor b 1869 Harrow Rd London, Married to Jessie Battensby 1894.
I believe his parents were George & Emma McGregor (bootmaker) who may have come from Perthshire <1868>.
Any dates would be greatfully received.

George 50  head    b Aberdeen  bootmaker
Emma 44    wife      b Lambeth
George 22  son        b Marylebone    shopman
John 18       son               "                           "
Frederick 12  son        "                     scholar

Living at 42 Chippenham Terrace, London

1871 same (looks like) family -wife is named Emma -looks like Emma/Eleanor were one and the same person??

Welsh Lady.... Emma's surname was whitcombe looks as though he came from perthshire earlier than 1868!

from 1871 census onwards george consistently states he was born Aberdeenshire
If he was definately b. Perthshire, then this George is probably not your man.
