1901 census look-up
« on: Tuesday 23 November 04 02:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I am wondering if there are census records available for Ballymacart Co Waterford. 1901

The family I am looking for are the McCarthy family,I believe that they were the only McCarthy Family to live there. There is possibly a Bridget, Thomas  born abt 1866 & his wife Julia.

Have looked at the Waterford Householders for this
period, but it does not cover Ballymacart.

Thanks... :)

I see you are researching McCarthy. Do you have a Mary or Daniel McCarthy in your family tree? My g-grandfather John Glenville Bogg married Mary McCarthy in 1866 in Charlton, Kent. Her father is listed on the marriage cert as Daniel McCarthy Labourer. Mary died 12 years later of T.B. in East Plumstead. She was 30 years old. Her baby girl died only two days earlier. She had four other children three boys and a girl. Two of the boys and both girls died as well.

Are you the Jerico who was looking for Bob Gallagher?
I can't find the posting in question, but am taking the chance you are one and the same...

Michael Connery, Ballycullane, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford:  his mother, Mrs. Connery Snr. lived in Abbeyside after returning from living in the USA for many years...you could drop Ml. a line, he might know.  Sadly, Mrs. Connery Snr. passed away some years back.

Hi Annie

Thank-you for that wonderful piece of information, I am extremely grateful for the address, hopefully it may help me to further the research into my family and answer a few questions about the connection between the Gallagher's and McCarthy's. As I an sure the Connery family may hold the missing link.

Do you live in Waterford, as I noticed that you have answered a couple of Waterford posts. Thanks for your help.

Glad to help, and hope you have some success.

Yes, I live in Dungarvan and am a friend of the Connerys.   Mrs. Connery Snr. was a really lovely lady.   I would love to find out that she was  Bob's godmother.

Good luck.
