Hello to all

Any information/dates regarding John or Emma Battensby greatfully received.

You will find both deaths on Freebmd John in 1879 and Emma in 1881.  both in Slough.  The only way to tell the cause of death is to get the certificate.

Emma is on the 1881 census together with her children and mother and sister.  www.familysearch.org

A ward in Chancery is an orphan in the care of a guardian.
From a google search: Ward: A minor or person under the care of a guardian; as, a ward in chancery.
