My G Grandfathers service records

Hi All,

I am trying to locate my G Grandfathers service records.
Trouble is, I don't know which force he served in.
He was John Newby Stephenson, born 1882 in Easington, County Durham.
I have found one possible record, but how can I know for sure it was him?
Can anyone advise me how to look?
