I just put details in general box and went through to list; found death and then looked at image.

Try doing a search on the complete BDM index - it finds nothing - you can search manually. The FreeBDM search is working

I can't even get on the site.Always having problems .I am still waiting for complete connection after 4 mins and then a completely strange screen comes up

Anyone got an e mail address for ancestry.I'm getting fed up with not being able to get to what I paid a years subs for and as I can't get a proper screen up for them I can't contact them.
Couldn't get on last night either.

Have you got over-zealous settings for a Firewall / AV application ?

I can't find an email - but you could try sending it to something like
help[at]ancestry.com  (or .co.uk)   or custhelp[at]ancestry.com  etc

The web master should send it somewhere (or bounce it)

No.nothing like that ,it was all working lovely till about 4pm yesterday and all of a sudden it takes ages to log in and get a screen then it's not the normal screen (tiny writing) and I cant access anything as it is so slow .
Excuse me as I bash my head against the desk.
Everything else is fine ,instant screens coming up on every other site
I'm baffled

In the immortal words of Sherlock Holmes and my old Tech Support guru - 'something has changed' ....

If you've done nothing at all in the way of maintenance, downloads etc, then I think you need to eliminate some possibles ..... maybe a template or Cookie has been corrupted

step one would seem to be to clear IE Browser cache (Temp Internet Files)

step two - find Ancestry's cookie and delete it ... if you're not sure how, on the TOOLS Menu in your browser, select INTERNET OPTIONS, then click the SETTINGS BUTTON, then on the next screen, the VIEW FILES BUTTON.

This will list all cookies - click on column heading to sort into alpahabetical order, and look for a file called ~~~~@ancestry.co.uk (or maybe .com?) where ~~~~~ is your PC Username.
Normally the Windows Explorer will identify it as a Cookie in the first column - and it will be just 1K in size

Then highlight and delete, and try getting into Ancestry again ...

I tried the other link and it just goes onto a blank screen then moved me to another screen which took 7 mins to load then jammed
I'm not the most technical person and know I have not touched anything or changed anything.
Had a lot of trouble with ancestry last year when they kept stopping my access claiming my account had run out when it had not .
Grrrrr
I know they are going to change the tool bar for family tree section and at first thought this was the problem ,but as no-one else is having the same problem it must just be me
