Need Help!

Hi all,  I'm helping a friend to trace her fathers tree.  He was an orphan and unfortunately was killed in a hit and run.  This is all we have.

Richard Kelbie Ogg b: 17/05/1918.  He had a brother Charles Ogg and a sister Wilamina Ogg.  He grew up in Doctor Bernardos in Portsoy near Aberdeen.

He married Tessa Elizabeth Ford b: 24/09/1929.  Her parents were John Sturgess Ford and Elizabeth Curtis.

Has anyone got any idea what I should do next?  Any suggestions would be appreciated

How about posting a query on the Aberdeenshire board?  Someone there might know how to find out more about Barnardos homes in the area.

Have you got Richard's marriage certificate?  That might show his parents' names (if he knew them).

Thanks I'll try that.  My friend said that there is no fathers name on the birth cert, but thinking about it there must be a mothers name.  She wrote down the details and put ? as mother.  I'll have to ask her again
