Bishops Gate is in the square mile of city of London.

From the certificates what was William's father's occupation?

Shoreditch would be closer to the city and Bishopsgate but this William is slightly older and still not born in the city itself.

1871 census RG10 320 folio 45
7 Hertdord Road Hackney  London
William Reeves 39 Shoreditch, Middlesex, Head Married Plasterer
Mary Reeves  43 Hayes, Middlesex, Wife Married
William Reeves 14 Shoreditch, Middlesex, Son Warehouse boy
Mary Reeves  12 Shoreditch, Middlesex,  Daughter
Elizabeth Reeves 10  Shoreditch, Middlesex,  Daughter
Walter Reeves  2  Hackney, Middlesex,  Son
