Wood Family Tunbridge Wells
« on: Wednesday 21 February 07 22:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi  In C1902 g/grandfather Henry Wood & his family were at 7 The Cottages  Clifton Road Tunbridge Wells.  Henry was a bootmaker by then, wife Eliza, children with them Ellen, Ernest, Annie, Ethel, Reginald & William.  I can't find Clifton Road on the map of TW (tho it's in the index) -I wonder if anyone out there knows it?
Also curious to know whether the family left any trace at all? My grandmother left home & lost touch.
Very grateful for any help

Hi Maggott

There is this Clifton Road in Tunbridge Wells - would that be the one?

Hi Casalguidi  & thank you for your post.  You're clearly a lot better with maps than I am!  If it's the only Clifton Road I reckon it's got to be the one-I'd like to get there to see it, but TWells is a long trip from here.  One day, perhaps.
Best  Maggott
