1901 Census Lookup in Clydebank please.
« on: Thursday 22 February 07 22:08 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the family of James Williamson and Margaret Graham Falconer.

Margaret was born in Perth in 1863.

They had two daughters that I know of.

Euphemia Williamson born in 1892 in Spain
Mary Falconer Williamson born 1900 in Clydebank

With an eight year gap between the two girls there is a possibility that there may be more children.

Any help with this family would be appreciated.

Many Thanks Mo.

I am intrigued also as to the family being in Spain.  The marriage took place in Glasgow in 1886, then Euphemia born 6 years later in Bilbao and another 8 years until Mary was born in Clydebank.

Interesting to see that they had a nephew living with them in 1901.  Haven't come across a Young connection.

Thanks again

Hi Mo,

James Carstairs Williamson born 31st Mar 1862 in Glasgow, married Margaret Graham Falconer on 17th Dec 1886 in Gorbals.

James's father was also called James Carstairs Williamson who married Christina McCallum in Glasgow in 1848.  They had 8 children. James senior was a tobacco pipe maker.

To make things a bit more complicated, there eldest son William also had a son called James Carstairs Williamson (born 1872)

James junior was an Iron Turner.  No clues there as to why he went to Spain.
