The answer to your original question is yes,these as far as i know are only kept at the crematorium office in the cemetery.were the cremation took place

  Hi Geoff E , thank you for that info at least i now know i can forget about gtgtgtgrandmother been cremated  , time to start re checking the churchyard and cemetery's again ,
