Morpeth Jail / Gregson Anthony Hall
« on: Wednesday 28 February 07 19:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi the 1851 Census shows Gregson Anthony Hall as a prisoner in Morpeth Jail aged 76 and born at Lowick about 1775. Northumberland. Occupation Carpenter.
My 2nd greatgrandfather Anthony Hall was born at Lowick also in 1813 and on his wedding certificate it says Gregson Anthony Hall as the father and occupation Carpenter.
Could anyone please advise how I could find out the crime he committed or any other information linking the two together.
Many thanks David.

Try the A2A site - look for Assizes and Quarter Sessions and/or Prisoners etc in that place ... this URL allows an overall search of Archives ....
