Richard Trevithick

My maternal grandmother told me we were related to Richard Trevithick through the female line.  I have established that my great grandfather Alfred Jewell married Fanny Trevithick in around 1880.  Is Fanny directly decended from Richard Trevithick.

No mention of Fanny here, but if may help you all the same?:

Richard Trevithick senior (1735-1797) (mine captain/engineer) married Ann Teague (? - 1810) (mine captain's daughter) They had eight children, (four died, two in the same year)
 
Elizabeth b.1761 (married John Tyack, Blacksmith)
Ann b.1763 (married William Edwards, Engineer)
Prudence (1765-1775)
Mary (1768-1790)
Richard b.1771 (married Jane Harvey)
Sarah (1775-1780)
Tamisen b.1773 (married Henry Vivian, gentleman)
Alexander (1779-1790)

Richard Trevithick married Jane Harvey (father- John Harvey, Foundry owner) in 1797 when he was 26.

Jane was born at Carnhell, Gwinear, on 25th June 1772, and was aged 25 when they married.
She died at Pencliffe, Hayle in 1868.

Their six children were-
