Don't know what Jane's occupation was before she married do you?

I haven't any clues to her occupation and still in the dark as to which is her real surname and place of birth. There must have been a reason for her maiden name Ellis on her marriage certificate and on some of her children's birth  certificates so she should be somewhere in the census with an Ellis or Lewis family if she was adopted . The Jane Evan in Briton Ferry  born London 1851 is possible but that would make her birth 1841 instead of 1843.

Living in Careau

Listed as "daughter" to David Lougher (1801, Lancarvan) and Jane Lougher (1804, "Estradyvodck"!!)

Did you know there was a JANE ELLIS's birth registered in Q4 1843 in the City of London/Middlesex?

No Address - just "32" under schedule number.
Daniel  - farmer of 40 acres
Jane - "dressmaker"
One domestic servant - Margaret Downey, 28 from Ireland.
