Definatly look's like the same woman to me , you say that you think the lady in photo two look's older than 28 , i think lady's year's ago did look a lot older than they do today , at one time of day 40 was considered old ! and the did look older than their year's,  incidently the gloves that the lady is wearing on this photo seem a little strange to me concidering what she is wearing , they resemble those type of gloves worn by men who drove motorbycle's , (if you see what i mean ) they look like leather (cos they are shiney) and bellow out past the cuff .

The hairline on the forehead of the two views where it is visible suggest that this is the same woman as well as the eyes and mouth.

The St. Johns Ambulance uniform of later years seems consistent for someone who trained as a nurse.

Nurses in my experience tend to be a clannish group. Maybe a reunion. She loved someones coat, tried it on for fun and a friend took the picture. Girlish habits do not die because they grow up and have babies.

I agree with Gadget. There is a similarity in pic. 3 but I don't think it's the same woman.

Thanks all for your views.

The photo in the *fur* was taken in a studio and not by friends but I didnt know that they supplied outfits so that would certainly answer a question or two!!

Her husband was not away during the war years so the pic cant have been for that reason although the mtorbike remark did ring a bell so I will have to have a word with my dad!!

Just one more question (I think!  ;D) but would youall date the St John's picture AFTER the *fur* coat pic?

Thanks again
Jo

Hi Jo

A difficult one because of the difference in size of the pictures but, on balance, I would say that the fur coat one looks a younger face than the other one.
