Hi,

Can anybody help me read what this place name is.

I believe its Hampshire, but I am not sure of the rest.

Looks like Sidmouth - imagine a tail on the 'h' - and that's Devon, a bit of a way away with Dorset in between, but . . . ? enumerator error ?

I think its Hampshire Sidmonton

I would say Sidmonton too.
Here is a list of Hampshire place names and parishes to look through which have brief explanations as well, click on Sidmonton and see if it makes sense with the other info you have:
